Treasure Chest Exhibition at Sylvia White Gallery

In the North Gallery, Sylvia White Gallery is proud to host "Treasure Chests," an exhibition presented by the Ventura Music Festival in partnership with selected local artists. The exhibition is part of the annual fundraising campaign that will culminate with dinner and live auction bidding on the treasure chests. They will be on view in the gallery until March 5th. Congratulations Ginny Furmanski

Congratulations to our very own Virgina Furmanski, she was awarded a $500 art advance from the Sylvia White Gallery!!

Donna Carver showing at Tacoma Art Museum

Donna Carver will be showing her work of art at Tacoma Art Museum. The piece is entitled "Reflective Meditation". It is a Dry Point etching on fabric bonded to a black Asian Panel. Six black carved cinnabar "Prosperity" Medallions are embracing the Buddha Panel(1/1),

This work of art was created for the 2010 Chair Affair Fundraiser entitled
"Furnishing Hope" , which is sponsored by the North West Furniture Bank.

The fund raising event will take place on March 4th at Tacoma Art Museum.

Karen L. Brown and Christina Altfeld were juried into the Central Coast Printmakers LEGENDS show. The show is an exhibition at San Luis Obispo Art Center from March 5 to April 18, 2010. SLO Art Center is located at 1010 Broad Street in San Luis. The opening reception is on March 5th from 6 to 8 pm. Noted printmaking instructor from Fresno City College, Nicholas Spohrer, was the juror.
